Founded in 2017, Harper Language & Learning has been serving children and families in Lake Charles, LA from birth to 11 years old with communication, feeding, behavioral, social, and academic needs. We provided evidence-based services in our clinic, schools, homes, and community. Harper Langauge & Learning has a strong relationship with a variety of clinics in the community and offers interdisciplinary collaboration to a variety of professionals including educators, physical therapists, occupational therapists, early intervention providers, mental health providers, physicians, and developmental specialists.

Our Services
Harper Language & Learning provides a variety of language and learning opportunities for children ages birth to 11 years of age with and without disabilities. Our behavioral programming is heavily influenced by the Comprehensive Application to Behavior Analysis to Schooling (CABAS®). CABAS® is a data-driven, research-based system that takes into account the interdependent relationship between instructors, learners, and caregivers. Our owner and all BCBAs are currently CABAS® trained and ranked providers.

We Love What We Do
Harper Language & Learning promotes and supports the learning capabilities of children. Our clinic utilizes speech-language pathologists, behavior analysts, behavior technicians, special educators, developmental specialists, and mental health providers to help children make gains.
Our speech-language pathologists work to prevent, evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of speech/language delays, swallowing/feeding disorders, and social communication deficits in children.
Our team of behavior therapists works with families to bring about meaningful and positive changes in behavior using the evidence-based CABAS® approach and trauma-informed literature.

Harper Language & Learning is made up of skilled staff that address dysphagia, behavioral feeding issues, communication disorders/delays and behavior concerns. In addition to evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders, our team strives to provide education and training, working collaboratively with other providers.
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide effective, meaningful, and lasting Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Speech Therapy services to children with and without developmental/ communication disorders to reach their full potential. Our team is passionate about helping children. Our behavioral services are guided by evidence-based and trauma-informed practices. We strive to build meaningful relationships with our clients and their families.
Our main role is to provide children with quality services through a variety of support structures and development initiatives in our clinic and community settings.
