Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) provide assessment and treatment services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related developmental disabilities utilizing the principles of behavior analysis. Our staff, along with our families, develop an in-depth understanding of a learner's needs, capacities, and strengths from a functional behavioral perspective. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) develop a treatment plan utilizing evidence-based practices to meet a learner's needs. All families can expect to obtain services that can help support the development of their child. The evidence-based services we offer are delivered using a strengths-based method that allows families to develop the knowledge and skills needed for addressing the needs of the family as they occur. Our services are provided in a manner that prioritizes and focuses on the development, generalization, and maintenance of functional skills. Our BCBAs are CABAS® ranked providers. CABAS® stands for Comprehensive Application of Behavior Analysis to Schooling and is a research-driven system-wide approach to providing individualized programming for individuals with and without disabilities. The CABAS® curriculum focuses on building communication skills, which is a critical component to achieving increased independence and self-advocacy. Using a well-researched, evidence-based curriculum such as CABAS® helps to support faster rates of learning language and social skills. Implementing a curriculum such as CABAS® ensures the following:
* The use of well-research, evidence-based teaching methods to support your child's learning
* Staff are continuously learning and advancing their knowledge and abilities
* Ongoing parent training
* Data-driven decisions to ensure effective and efficient programming for your child
Within the CABAS® model, ongoing data collection is used to track progress and to analyze student learning. Program changes are made as needed and are always data-driven. Decision protocol, as described by Keohane and Greer (2005) and Greer (2002), is used to analyze progress and support effective and efficient programming for your child.
